Seems like coastal types and a lot of folks in the great white north like the Seafoam. I use Stabil myself, never given me a reason not to. Does what it says on the bottle. 6 in one 1/2 dozen in the other I'd say, as long as it works. If I couldn't find Stabil, (never happened yet) I would not have any problem grabbing Seafoam if it's what they had.

Ive run Stabil and Startron the most. I liked the Startron the best so far.

I am still trying to figure out why my bike puked like crazy when I added the seafoam???

I think "Ring Free" is more of a carbon inhibitor and remover. Seafoam, is more of a cleaner for the system leading up to the boom. From what I've read here, the "Ring Free" is almost instantaneous(within 20 or 30 miles) for SVS. I don't think the Seafoam would be that effective that quickly on built up carbon( I could be wrong about this). It will clean and dissolve crud in the carb that hasn't gotten to far along. As long as the fuel is flowing, it'll soften and remove varnish etc. over a period of a tank or two. It does a good job of stabilizing the fuel also.

...and, a reminder for bargain shoppers. Look for the gallon size cans, and comparison shop the amount paid for the smaller cans versus refilling from a gallon.

Your guess earlier that it loosened some crud up, that then got hung up in the float valve(needle and seat)was probably correct. The needle only comes down far enough to let fuel past.
I run it pretty much all the time in the bike unless I can get the ethanol free gas, then I skip it. I've learned from my boat and other vehicles, that not using something is simply asking for trouble. If your constantly going through fuel, then your usually fine, but when something sits for awhile you'll usually get problems. I've got an 2010 F-150, that sat for about 2 months in the garage, and it started acting up and the mileage went down the drain. The Seafoam cleaned it up.

Thanks SKWEARpg, I am thinking about running some seafoam thru my 2007 Dodge 1500 Hemi. Cant hurt. And i think the bike is good to go for now, no more puking after the ride with Penguin.
