What kind of engine oil are you running? 2 Years ago
20w, 10w, cold weather, hot weather, so confusing. Read all the studies, makes little sense to me. What are you guys running personally in YOUR bikes??

Wesson... it's got the most trans fats and that prevents lifter shear, which is important for these older V-Twin motors... Not to mention, it's WAY cheaper on than anything on the market and my french fries never tasted so good! They sell these 1 gallon jugs at Wallyworld for only $4.99

what about cold weather? 20w 50 is ok for 45-50 degrees riding? I prefer a 10-40 oil for mine but not sure thats recommended. 20-50 seems too thick in the cold. I'm in Montana.

Here's a good rule of thumb for temp ranges... Though at well above 30 degrees, 20w50 will result in certain reactions and noises in the R*... Nothing detrimental mind you. But you will hear/feel it until the engine warms up. Just don't gun a cold motor in cold weather.
