That kind of stuff just chaps me. Be running 80-85 in a 75 and there is always some fool who wants to push you, I move over and let them have it. I like the marbles or roofing tacks Curt but with my luck I'd forget where I dropped them and I'd get myself. Damn CRS.

lol yes sir mr jeff,,,, it was a pleasure meeting you and your wife
actually ,your wife told me she had a bungy cord strappped to your bike and she was pulling you. how true is that jeff.

She did pull me on some of the straight a ways, but I drove it out of the dang ditch with no help. The enduro venture goes where no others dare go.

We had similar experiences last week in the Smokeys, but instead of cars it was those damn bicycle riders, always on my ass ringing those little bells on their handlebars, yelling get out of my way. I just let them pass and hoped they gave me my 3 ft.

My personal take, is dont push the bike harder than you are comfortable. Run the pace you are comfortable and if anyone wants to pass you bike or car find a safe place to pull off enough for them to go by and move on. Never happened to me with a car either but it has with other bikes. Im not gonna spoil their fun to stroke my ego, I just let them go and continue having a blast.

Anyone gets on my ass I get out of the way. However sometimes you can't.

2 weeks ago I was riding a long windy road up in to the hills. No passing areas nor any pullouts and this clown in a van is tailgating me something fierce. Like I could go anywhere since there were cars ahead of me. Not like I was going slow either. I turned and kind of waved him back. No good. Tapped brakes. No good. Waved again. No good. Slowed up some. No good.
We finally reach this little town in the hills and at the one stop light I stop and turn and yell at him to get off my ass (he was now about 2' away from me. He kind of gives me a shut up hand wave. Uh-oh.....

I got off and walked back and yelled, get off my ass or I'll kick yours. Then I noticed his kid in the front seat. I'd have never done that had I seen the kid. As I walk back to the bike he flips me off of course. Crankster/tweaker looking a-hole so I turn the corner and pull over to let him go. He turns same way and I think OK, here we go.
Nope, he drove on by and down the road and turned in to a driveway. I turned back on to highway and went to the brewery I was headed to.

It wasn't instant bad karma but this little town was one of the one's that burnt up a week later out here. Hope his house is fine but it wouldn't hurt my feelings if his van was melted to the ground.

you folks with roofing tacks and marbles are amateurs. I recently watched a guy flip a hand full of nickles over his shoulder and damn what they did to the windshield of that car at 65 mph. A few stuck in the glass half way through

I had some guy riding my ass once in some Mercedes convertible. I kept looking back, giving him the WTF with my hand, he just ignored me. Finally, at a stop light I put the kick stand down and walked over to him. Said if you don't get off my ass I'm gonna follow your ass home and beat you in front of your wife. He backed off after that.......

When I used to deliver and pick up cars for the auto auction here in the Milwaukee area, we had one guy who worked for us who always carried a couple of wrenches with him. If someone was riding his ass, he would just open the window and toss the wrench up out of it and it was smash the windshield of the tailgating car.
