21" wheel and stock front fender? 1 Year ago
So i know a lot of people have cut the welded bolts off the inside of the fender and elongated them allowing the stock fender to be used with a 120/70/21 tire and 21x3.5 wheel..... it looks awesome! my question is has anyone ever had any issues with this method? has the tire ever rubbed the fender after expansion of the tire? any clearance issues at all? has anyone lifted the fender higher? I came across some fender lift brackets that raise the fender 1.5 inches but in my opinion doesn't look as clean as the elongated dremel technique. modifying the brackets shorter is an option or just making some myself because the brackets are expensive.

anyways here are the brackets any input is much appreciated!

I don't remember reading about anyone having a rubbing issue. The fender will never be any closer to the tire then it is right at the leading edge.

I have never had any rubbing issues with my 21 in tire.
I long-gated just the front bolt holds on the front fender and have not had any problems at any speed.

Good luck

Same here. No issues up to 100mph.

Re:21 1 Year ago
that is re assuring! I really think that technique makes the stock fender looks the best on the 21"wheels... I read on here from a forum years back someone did this technique and got a rock stuck and ruined their tire.... that would suck. often my bikes and myself find our way onto some gravel roads while touring to get into some wild country and good forest service roads so I just wanna make sure the clearance won't be a problem
