I need a custom cable made up for the 02 roadie. I need it +6 and have the hsr fitting on the carb end. Maxair wants $120 vefore i even add lenght to it is that the going rate now or is he just trying to bend people over?

I assume i could go right to barnett but is there a place i can go that will beat barnetts msrp? I know that sounds dumb but i ran into a company that it was more money to buy direct than go through a mechant

I normally call Barnet and they have given me a discout that will beat or match any price I can find. I if you are looking for break and clutch lines last time I called them they had a long lead time and they told me to call galfer or goodridge. http://www.galferusa.com/custom-brake-lines/ hope that helps.

SS Customs has pretty good prices for that cable. Let me know who you find for the best price because I'm gonna need a cable like that this year. I don't think mine needs to be 6 over but I need to measure to see.

I got hydraulic hoses from Hellriser Customs. They were great on and off the phone.

Hey Smokes that deal you ran into where you could buy from a dealer cheaper than going direct is a common practice. The manufacturer does not want to mess with small orders and want to "protect" their dealers. I worked in the industrial supply business right after I got out of the service and that's where I ran into that situation. Sell in big lots to their dealers and then let their dealers rage a price war.

SS custom cycle has the black ($55)or SS ($75)cables in +6 for the HSR pull cable. (and other lengths)

They also have the push cables.

http://www.sscustomcycle.com/products/engine/roadstar.shtml

Hope the link works. (may have to copy and paste)

Good Luck

You want my advice thought you're going to get it anyway watch out for cables labeled + 6 + 10 etcetera because there is a lot of crossover between motorcycles + 10 for 1 Bike maybe + 6 for another also make sure the fittings then all the hardware is Chrome plated because I have cheesy painted metal ones that are rusting cheap Chinese ships I have + 10 on my Roadstar with 16-inch Apes and I would rather have 2 to 4 inches more because the cable has to make a sharp turn measure the length of total cable you need ask for the cable length

I used Tim from metric magic but both ends were stock. I have Barnett cables and he was considerably cheaper than I could get from barnett
