My first GOOD ride since June. It's been one of those years where work and weather have conspired to keep me off the bike. I finally got time yesterday to change all my fluids and throw some fresh plugs in the ol girl. It was pretty satisfying just to get some maintenance done, but riding today was just fantastic. I can tell I have been riding far to little this summer because for the first time in several years, my neck got tired. Gotta be pretty far out of helmet conditioning for THAT. Anyway, maintenance all out of the way a month early. Eureka Springs, here I come! I'm getting married in Nov and starting a major remodel at home. I predict a slow year next year. I had several short rides but no long ones. I normally take a trip to Inianapolis to a buddies but my wife is still pretty nervous and made me take my truck. This week isn't going to be good either because I drop my tank off in the morning to get fixed. I've been thinking about coming to Eureka Springs meetup next year. I'm doing my big building project right now here at home also. Only have about 3k miles on a bike this year also. Usually it's 10k by this time Smokey Mountain trip is next week. Pouring concrete in the new building next Saturday. I was going to take a lone interstate trip, but in early June, fell off my stalled bike and tore my left rotator cuff. I spent the vacation time that I was going to make my trip going to physical therapy, before they recommended a MRI, which found the damage. Had a house all lined up to buy then an asshole from Florida put that on hold. Wasted 6 six months of my time. So anyway trying to put that behind and just move on.
