I'm in and let me know where to contribute. Thank you and your boss for making this happen.

At some point soon we'll be setting up a PayPal account for the RSC and will be able collect contributions there.

I'll be watching. I'm ready as soon as you fellas tell us where and how much.

First of all I want to thank BubbaKahuna for taking the initiative to get the ball rolling for a replacement forum before our current one shuts down. I did a little Googling on vBulletin and read some disturbing reviews. I admit when it comes to anything IT I'm a complete moron so I'm sure some of you have vetted vBulletin and found it acceptable but if not I just wanted to list one of quite a few negative reviews. I know you can say anything on the internet and many times what you say goes unchallenged so it appears to have the ring of truth to it so again, I have no idea whether some of these negative reviewers are full of s--t or not. Here is one link.

Whatever platform you guys decide to go with I'll be happy with and will be one of the first to put his money where his mouth is to help fund it. I'm just glad I won't be the one deciding which one to go with because if that were the case I can guarantee it would be a disaster. LOL

That negative review was written 4 years ago & mostly about a self-hosted beta version of the software a couple versions old.
On the internet, that's like 20 human years.

Valid complaints but virtually all of them have been addressed since 2014.
We're also going with the cloud version that is managed by vBulletin.
We also don't need (or likely) want heavy customization of the software.
Our needs are pretty simple.

The last paragraph of the review tells a lot:
"Admittedly I have not used vBulletin 5 so it might seem unfair to review it or make a recommendation one way or the other."

More to come ...

Thanks for the quick reply. I just realized that this discussion was debated in an earlier post titled, "OK,
what do you think about this forum?", which I just now read. Sorry about the duplication. I'm recovering from surgery AGAIN and haven't been on the clinic forum much in the last week or so.BubbaKahuna wrote:
