I have a riding buddy that has one. They are very nice!!
Beautiful paint flawless chrome and a 110 ci screaming eagle motor.
If I had his $$$$$ I would ride one also.

I think/assume they are incredibly expensive to insure. The paint sets are so expensive and difficult to replace that they salvage the bike...say for instance the bike falls over and scrapes up the fairing and a bag....I think it's cheaper to total the bike instead of replace the paint set.(for the insurance company) I have run across a couple instances of this.
I have never actually priced insurance on one though.
They DO seem to hold their value quite well...(if you haven't let it fall over)
Every time Harley comes out with a bigger ci motor...it goes to the CVO lineup first for a couple years before the regular lineup sees them.

More than that!

I used to race RC cars with a guy who works for the CVO division. They are gorgeous bikes. And as stated before, you can buy the bike for $40k, or you can buy a touring bike for $25 and sink another $30k into it to get it on par with the CVO. Overpriced yes, but like all other Harleys, they hold their value.

Same idea as the Star Raider SCL.. Fancier version of the bike, though Harley goes more indepth (powertrain mods).

I couldn't agree more. Must be nice to have that kind of expendable money. The nicest bikes to me are the ones that I can pay cash for. There are so many nice used bikes across all brands out there to be had for short money that for us working class people to even consider paying that kind of money for a car, never mind a bike that we get seasonal riding out of barring the weather conditions.

All my bikes are totally paid for low mileage bikes. I have them all across the brand spectrum from a HD RK, to 09 RS to an 02 & 08 RSV to the small cc 1960's Hondas that I restore, and all of them wouldn't total up to a 40k CVO. Not even close. And I have a blast on all of them.
