Jardine forward control problems!!! 5 Years, 7 Months ago
I am having a problem and wanted to see if I could get some input. My Roadstar had a aftermarket intake when I purchased it that I really like. I installed Jardine forward controls yesterday because I'm 6'4" and the stock floorboards were very cramped. Now the intake is in my legs way and my foot can barely touch the right peg and cannot at all touch the rear brake lever. I just found out Jardine makes an extended brake lever but my right foot is still no were near comfortable hanging on the edge like that

Sweet lookin ride Joey Kury has some foot peg configs that you could stack out there quite a ways. Not sure how much flex you would get out of them way out there tho. May be time to do some custom fabbing

I had the same problem with mine when I had the K&N RA-077V 3" wide filter so I ended up going to the RA-076V 2" wide filter.

Looks like my only option is to get another intake Anyone have a nice K&N they want to trade? This one looks new and I never had a problem with the floorboards installed.

I checked out the intake a little bit closer last night and there is what looks like a 2 3/4" aluminum spacer between the intake and the intake mount. If I could remove this and somehow cut down and customize the rubber intake boot(and replace the two rusty mount bolts lol) it could be problem solved! Not sure if this is going to work. I've worked 24 hrs in the last two days and have not had time to work on it.
