Forward Controls 5 Years, 9 Months ago
I wanted to get some opinions. I am 6'4" and ready to do something about my floorboards and controls. I have seen the relocation kits online but was wondering if forward controls were worth the money?

I went back to boards on mine the prior owner was 6'2" and had Jardine forwards (I still have them and was going to sell them if you are interested) They are very comfortable but at 5'10" I am as good with boards and my wife is learning to ride and the forwards were to far for her to reach.

As a tall guy , I found forward controls to be more suited to my riding style. I for one like them better than boards. BB

Hey Eddie. One set of controls I was looking at were the Jardines. How much were you trying to get out of them and are they in good shape?

They are in perfect working order, the shift side peg is a little scuffed from turning way too agressively but thats on the bottom of the peg. Worst case a replacement peg is $25 the other is perfect shape. 200 plus shipping sound fair? (I think the list is 750 new) I can send pics if you want I would kust need to dig em out.

Hey Eddie, some pics would be great! It looks like the Jardines do not come with the brake reservoir but did you have a extended shift rod that came off with it? Thanks

I have the Jardine Forward Controls. I had to change seat to the moded mustang because I sat to far back with my ultimate seat. I am 5'-8" and shrinking so I needed to be closer but should do good for you.

I'm 6'2", love my PCS forward controls.

There is a little getting used to as far as foot placement but well worth it.

Curt,
How did you mount the Jardines? Just as importantly... How did you make them work with the stock Master Cylinder?

I looked on the site but didn't see any pix of Black Ice's evolution.

Dealt with the floor boards for 2yrs now. I'd like to try forwards for a bit
and see which my 38" inseam dislikes more
