Are you using a crush washer when you put the bolt back in? A spark plug washer will work.

It had the original washer .. not sure if crush or not .. seemed like a regular one, like the spark plug washer .. still leaking

Use a new crush washer, once flattened it requires more torque to seal.

Unfortunately this thread sounds much to familiar.

Really hope you get it worked out. I know how you are feeling.

BB .. the bolt goes back in but it does not tighten itself fully .. and i remember only half of the outer bolt having thread on it .. the inner part was clean.
The problem is that it leaks oil

Try this.....as a test , take whatever washer (crush , etc...) off the plug and put it back in and see if it catches good threads....I'm betting it does. If that is the case , find a longer plug (several auto stores carry drain plugs with our thread pitch....seems like the ones I use are for Toyota application) and you're golden. For clarification , the guys are right , there is no "oil pan" , it is indeed the cases. Try that first , and remember to be Gentle with what is left of those threads. BB
