New to forum. In process of buying Stratoliner 8 Years, 8 Months ago
Hi,my name is Randy Bullard, and I'm thinking about getting a Stratoliner. I currently own a 1998 Vmax, and have been riding for over 40 years,on two continents. I live in north Florida,Jacksonville. I have two main concerns about the bike, the first is the configuration of aftermarket forward controls,or are least moving the stock controls forward a few inches and out away from bike maybe 2-3 inches as I am long (36" inseam)legged, and a size 13w shoe, and I have to contort, twist feet inward. The factory controls on any bagger are useless for me. Second is weather the bike has any major reliability issues, including weather overheating in rear cyl area,at slow speeds in heat. I ride/accelerate hard often, and weigh over 300lbs,and with passenger/luggage will be 550-600lbs.
My phone is 904-477-3835.A phone contact would be greatly appreciated. email randy-two(AT)comcast.net.
Thank you in advance for the assistance. Randy

I have heard nothing but good stuff about the strat and roadliner VEEMAX1998. There are some owners around the board. Hopefully they will see you intro and chime in.

I am considering a strat for a 2nd bike right now. Its a nice ride.

Ever considered the Boss Hog (I'd like to take one for a test ride)? A sizable gent like yourself would probably feel more comfortable on that. It certainly would meet your requirements. The price might be a detractive factor however. BTW, formality is refreshing here but not a prerequisite, trust me on this.

welcome, my riding buddy has had a roadliner for 2yrs, nothing but a happy face. only suggestion, replace the stock seat w/ an ultimate. it's as bad as a roadstar's. other than that, buy it/enjoy it

We can't offer too much in regards to the liners, but we have a couple of guys here with them that have had a roadstar previously. but who knows, you may be one of the few that hang around, if enough liners show up, I'm sure we will try to accomodate..Your welcome here in any case...
