That new-bike feeling. 5 Years, 5 Months ago
I still have it after all these years.

It never gets old. Every time I see it I get excited, every time someone stops over I have to show them this and that, every time someone sees me and says "you ride a motorcycle?" I say "yes, and let me tell you all about it."

Is it only me?

Nope, I've had my 2001 since April 5th 2009, rode it home 65 miles in Freezing Rain wearing Jeans, summer rain parka, water proof boots, summer riding gloves. The grin on my face was permanently frozen in place.

I ride it because I can. I love my Roadstar, I'd rather die before I sell it.

I waited 3 years to get my roadie. I smile all the way to work. I am no where near ready to give that up.

I have been buying, building, and riding motorcycles since 4 years before I could legally drive a car. I still have two of the bikes that I bought new. I hope the feeling never goes away.

I had smaller bikes several years ago and never lost the feeling then, either. I always felt like there was something missing with those bikes, though and that's part of why I stopped riding for a few years. The need to ride never went away, though, and the Roadie has filled that need to near perfection. Only going on 6 months for me, but I still smile all the way to work and always have to take a look back when I walk in the building.
