MM and MotoGP news 3 Years, 6 Months ago
MM seems like a class act, even when things don't go correctly for him. Only reason I wish I had cable TV is to be able to watch the MotoGP races. Maybe I'll one day spend the money to get it streaming.

The kid is downright impressive for sure. He knows how to win, and how to accept defeat. He knows how to get mad and get even too. In one of his Moto2 races he was penalized (unfairly, IMO) for "rough riding" and had to start from the back of a pack of 42 600CC bikes with spec motors. The kid got 3rd place, and probably rode "rougher" than what happened to incur the penalty in the first place. They called him dangerous, and a risk taker in Moto2, and they said the same thing last year in MotoGP. Maybe he is dangerous and a risk taker, but he is also world champion and has won 10 races in a row this year, from pole, and just placed 4th this past weekend. He has over 3 races in hand in points with 7 races to go, and everyone in GP is trying to figure out how to be a dangerous risk taker so they can stop looking at the ass-end of his Honda. They said the same things about the last premier class rookie world champion, Kenny Roberts.

JD is right about Marquez, but remember, they said the same thing about Marco Simoncelli, and look where it got him? I won't count out Rossi or Pedrosa yet, not until it's mathematically impossible for them to win.

Simoncelli's crash was just horrible. Fans gravitate to the guy on the ragged edge for a reason. They are the most exciting to watch. Remember Gary McCoy on the 500, sliding that thing every which way? Not the most successful rider in the late days of the 500s, but MAN! Did he ever get the well deserved camera time on Speedvision when he's riding a bronco and the leaders are pacing 2 seconds apart, fast, mind you, but graceful, clean, classic 250 style lines can get boring.
