650 v-star 8 Years, 8 Months ago
I just saw a 2003 650 v-star for sale, $2500.00. so I stopped and talked to the fella. has about 22k on it and seemed in pretty good shape...I don't keep up with prices much so I thought I would throw it up here and see what yall thought..I need another bike like a hole in the head, but figured if I had it, my wife or son may like to give it a shot..

Seems like a pretty hot deal to me. It would be an affordable bike to buy just to tinker with and customize.

It's funny, I've noticed people asking a lot for the Vstar 650's, as much or more than typical prices for Suzuki Volusia's (805cc) or Vulcan 800's. Not sure why.

$2500 seems OK for that one. Some guys might think that's a lot of miles, but it's really not. I'd probably offer $2000 and see where it goes from there. (Act like you're concerned about the mileage

Thank you all for the input,,the tins are in great shape, the engine sounds good, rear tire is on it's way out. I'm thinking 1800.00 then probably settle on 2k......now I just have to find 2k.... Then there is insurance, tags, tax, and all the associated crap that comes with it....

didn,t work but you can look any bike up on kelly blue book it is what the dealers use for a reference on taking in a trade and a suspected resale price.

I had a 05 I can tell ya why people are asking as much for the vstar 650's in my opinion, for one they look a hellava lot better than the suzuki volusia's and they hold up better and also have more chrome.

They are a good little bike for quick hops around town and for a beginner.

I loved the way mine handled, it just didn't have enough top end for a good road trip.
