I think its probably because its really hard to become a member here that people stop trying to be one. But that just my opinion.

The front page indicates the process necessary to become a member on the Forum. There are some issues regarding incorrect email address used when folks try to register but these account for less than 1% of the requests.
However. FB, and other social sites, seem to the be 'in thing' these days.

Just throwing my .02 in.
I don't belong to the FB page so I don't really know what happens there, but that "family" feel here has gotten lost somewhere in the last year or so. I'm not sure if its because we let a couple trolls come in and crap on a bunch of threads or what the deal is. It may just be the natural progression of forums as they gain more members as I've seen similar things happen on other forums. It definitely isn't what it was when I joined though. Its just another forum now.

I can feel it too. There's still a ton of great guys here but it isn't the same as it was three years ago.
I've been hoping the "redo" that the mods are working on will reinvigorate the forum.

The time of year has a lot to do with the nature of the posts. I have watched it for a long time..Spring and summer the posts are less social banter, folks are out riding..And like Doc said, FB etc. is the place most folks go to see what you ate for lunch.. |

I feel ya man. I notice fridays are dead and in the winter many have "parked motorcycle syndrome" and get testy. Many of the regulars dont post often anymore either.
Blackroadie, ironman, coot53, ect. I have kinda been lacking as well, mostly cause i dont feel like reading some of the unnecessary stabs that gets posted and the cock fight that follows.

J.J. just went over to the motel with our attendance sheet.
It appears that everything now lines up.
Her only concern was BurghStar did not have a room, but I'm thinking he's rooming with YinzGuys.
Neither have been on since February or April anyways, so I won't be getting a message to them through here anyways..
