So it is on. I am mixed about the looks but it will have its maiden voyage today to Palm Dessert. I may remove it upon my return but it shines nice. The paint came out great and now i am wiring up the nickle fender. I will post pics at end of weekend. Sunday morn is a small MBOG show and tell and that is where it will make its first debut as the nicklerodian. I am certain that it will be a one of a kind there.

the ONLY reason i took mine off is cause i went for the severe upgrade.
an my clutch is takin a beating!!!

the intake port you tap for vacume goes to the AIS, so you could tap the line in the lower front at the AIS motor, just go up&over the top instead of around the exhaust with a longer line.

yes you can just put the housing on. what that is going to affect is the fuel mix and lean it out. if it goes to lean the enricher (choke) can be adjusted for some more fuel an you can ride it (takes a little playing with) but you get the idea.

Well,

Its installed but just for looks. I did close to 300 miles this weekend and WOT it would not, at least until i hit the dessert for a bit. When i arrived at my condo, the smell was awful. I guess the K&N filter oils wasn't dry enough. I left it outside over night and yesterday took it for a WOT test and it feels the very same, maybe a little worse then the original. However, I am hearing a rougher (kinda nice at idle) sound from the exhaust. I will keep it on for a month and see how it goes. Here are some pics

And for those who are not following my nickle plating saga, it turned out great!!!!!!!!!!!

Thanks for all the advice.

Cheers

Nope, not doing any jetting or pluming. It is not worth it. I have already noted pop on the decel once i got back to sea level yesterday eve so i know I need to do something. Right now i am cleaning the original filter and will buy a nicer cover when time and money allows. However, I hare several commitments for the bike over the next month so it will probably have to stay there until they are done. See how nice your fender turned out curt? Thanks.

Cheers

Yes it looks really great I finally got mine cut down, painted and on I mounted it to the swing arm. I have a pair of 59 Caddy tail lights coming to use as stop lights. Really like the look you are going for.

Re:Hypercharger just for looks? 7 Years, 4 Months ago
I havn't had any problems with my Hypercharger. However I have had some problems with cold starts latly. for the last 3 years whenever I hit the button it would fire right off. Now It runs a bit the dies, then when I hit the button it acts like the battery is dead, then it will turn over and crank. What's up with that? It kinda seems like the float bowl isn't full and the compression release doesn't want to release. After I get going I have no problems the rest of the day.
