No...I would just go with a BAK from your favorite manufacturer.

Hi smokinstar1,
Hypercharger is just a BAK in a fancy wrapper. Have had mine for over a year. Got jetting right on first try and haven't touched it since. Makes a difference, no more than any BAK. Just my 2 cents.

Put a Kuryakyn Pro R hypercharger on my 05 1700 and could definitely tell a difference. I must have gotten the jetting right because it runs just as good as it did before except that it takes a couple of extra miles to warm up. I assume this is because of the massive amount of air that is getting shoved down its throat!! Anyway, I love the look and can tell a difference in low end torque. It's a pretty easy installation also.

One the same bike,,I had a Baron's BAK installed when new,,,didn't run it 6 months, could not get the jetting and air mixture right, would run great for 1,000 miles then would get the dreaded svs,,,went back stock and no problems...Good luck with the hypercharger, you may have a better mech than mine.

Sounds like you need to dial down the rev limiter
