All I can do is give ya my opinion on them. I always ran the Metz on this bike and a previous bike (Honda 1100ACE) honda for 50k, and the Roadie for about 90k worth of metz. Both bike's rear got 15k honda front avg 22k roadie 28k. Keep in mind, I am a lightweight all of about 155lbs. psi 40 fr 42rr

Then come no job and needing tires, so searched and found the Shinko's, took about a month of digging for info before my first buy. Found they use to be owned by Yokahama, bought by Shinko in early 90's. They have a tendency to copy other brands tread pattern with just a hair of difference. I liked the tread pattern since they were very close to the Metz, and for a pair, about 75 bucks less. They handle as well as the Metz in wet/dry rds (fl & Ga) just as quiet, I use dyna beads for balancing. I've gone thru 2 fronts and am on my 3rd rear, get 14 to 15 k rear, about 22 k front. Granted, it doesn't get into the triple digits here, unless you factor the heat index. But I am more than satisfied with the Shinko 777, and I still use the same psi 40fr 42rr.

If you can find someone that actually has them. I have some on order for a few days now and they are still not shipped. And that is quiet a few stores that seem that way right now. This will be my first set of them. I am riding a little on a double plugged tire right now. So not riding too far until I get these in.

Respects
Mark

I put a 777 on the rear, got maybe 800 miles on it, but it's not that hot here in kentucky, but so far I love the shinko, got caught in the rain the other day and it performed great.
