Carb Puke Back 1 Year, 8 Months ago
Sorry to have multiple threads. I just had m carb apart installing new needle valve seat and o-ring. Thought I'd stopped my carb puke which came out of nowhere this year and winter's nap.

But my 30 minute tide with 15 minute stop then restart poured gas all over the place. Damn glad it didn't ignite!

So I'm thinking what's next. Pumpless, new carb, new fuel lines and insulation...

Bike runs so good other than the hiccup from start now and then. Pisses me off!!!

I would try shuting off the petcock and let the bike run out of gas. (draining the bowl) Then open the petcock turn on the key and listen for the fuel pump do it's thing. See what happens. 0.02

Just visually. Parallel when just touching needle.

If the little flat plate that holds the float pivot pin in place isn't properly seated in proper position the float can hang up and over flow the carb.

Strange that some of us have this problem and most don't.

My 07 does it when riding in 80+ degree days. I've just got in the habit of shutting the fuel off before a planned stop. If the stop is unplanned, I shut the fuel off and wait a minute, then turn the engine off. I restart and then turn the fuel on if it was a short stop.

I don't understand what it does this only until engine is running and there is vacuum to carb. Unless it's boiling fuel. I did notice a nick in the heat shield (foil) on fuel line from pump to carb.

Maybe I should redo fuel line with good insulation?
