the coupler goes from 2 1/2" to 3". the 2 1/2" end goes on the car(using the supplied radiator clamps. then get the 90 degree elbow and clamp that on the coupler. then put the filter on the 90 degree elbow. you should need to lengthen the vacuum hose and drill a small hole in the elbow and mount that there. also now you will need to get a crankcase breather and install it.

A crankcase breather? What be a crankcase breather?

Does this mod require re-jetting, too?

There are two hoses that go into the back of the stock air-box. Which one gets the little breather filter? What did you do with the other hose?

Hey Frank,

The big one is the Crankcase vent, the little one is, I quote from the manual "Vacuum chamber breather hose." I have a little piece of cloth zip tied to this one too

I'm thinking of "T"ing them both, and running them into the little K&N style filter.

The one hose is 7.5mm and the other is 10mm. The inner diameter of the little K&N style filter, is 7.5mm, too.

I never understood the crankcase breather running into the back of the air filter...potentially putting oil drips inside your air filter assembly on the carb side of the filter, effectively bypassing the filter... Not a huge deal, just messy...so mine points at the ground.
