Is there a bracket holding the weight or is the carb holding it all?
Looks great!

Great job on the creativity, rstodd!

I'm sure it sticks out more than stock or a low profile setup like mine, but that doesn't matter. Look at the Forcewinder...same 90 elbow and sticks wayyyyy out there, and it's like $400! BTW, rstodd, I think you just bummed out a lot of people who bought one of those...

Crash, do you have any issues getting caught in the rain with that filter?

the coupler goes from 2 1/2" to 3". the 2 1/2" end goes on the car(using the supplied radiator clamps. then get the 90 degree elbow and clamp that on the coupler. then put the filter on the 90 degree elbow. you should need to lengthen the vacuum hose and drill a small hole in the elbow and mount that there. also now you will need to get a crankcase breather and install it.

A crankcase breather? What be a crankcase breather?

Does this mod require re-jetting, too?

I'll try to get some tommorrow. Yes in a heavy rain for about 30 miles it will get really wet. You can take a filter cover or a bandana and spray it with water repellant an it helps. I also did the crankcase breather as well. Looks good. I made a bracket to mount the filter to 1 of the original mount holes. I haven't looked at Mr. C's
