I'm sure it sticks out more than stock or a low profile setup like mine, but that doesn't matter. Look at the Forcewinder...same 90 elbow and sticks wayyyyy out there, and it's like $400! Yes in a heavy rain for about 30 miles it will get really wet. You can take a filter cover or a bandana and spray it with water repellant an it helps. I also did the crankcase breather as well. Looks good. I made a bracket to mount the filter to 1 of the original mount holes.
