inconsistent Idle speed 8 Years, 11 Months ago
Did a number of Mods over the winter including removing AIS system , Removed fuel pump and drilled out Needle jet to 2.5 mm ,set float level to higest suggested setting , installed Kury High Five Airbox , Re jetted according to Kury's instructions . Hand Ported my manifold , and installed adjustable pushrods .After a few short but invigorating ( read COLD ) rides i have determined the Bike is running better than I could ever have imagined . Engine noises I used to hear are gone as well . Only one thing that Im unsure about , when coming to a stop and blipping the throttle during the down shift to first ( or Blipping as a bad habit ) Occasionally the idle speed stays high as if the enricher is on one notch , for a longer than comfortable time before returning to normal Idle speed . Its not though and in fact It( the enricher) is working better than ever since re jetting etc. In the Temps ive been riding in( plus 8 centigrade ) it takes a good long while for the engine to come up to a reaonable temperature to be able to ride with the enricher all the way in , but once there the pms setting of 2.75 turns out seems to be perfect .Other than that occasional high Idle . I know someone will say "Dont Blip then ! " but any thopughts appreciated .

That's usually a sign of a lean condition.

Having said that I'd leave it alone. You don't ride in 8 degree weather and the mix will get richer as the air warms up.

Don't blip.

If I made that many changes at one time, I'd feel very fortunate that it even runs.. Like Doc said, I wouldn't touch it till warm weather...
