What's up, everyone!?! I'm Steve. I reside in Brooklyn, NY and work in Manhattan as Union 'Trade Show' Carpenter. I just picked up my '01 YamaHawg Road Kill (formally a Midnight Star) this past March after almost 15 years of four wheeling. My last (as well as first) bike was a '80 Yamaha 850 Special that I rode in Southern California for five years while racking up over 52k miles of trouble-free enjoyment. That's what sold me on my Roadie. I run baffle-less Cobra Drag pipes with a Hypercharger (I'll be Dyno'd this sping) and installed 4in. risers with 12" Ape Hangers ... more for comfort than looks (@6'3" & 230lbs). I just installed new WWW Metzelers and flipped the shock mount to lower the rear end and couldn't be happier with the look. Now all I need to do is replace my saddlebags (with the EZ brkts) for some summer trips! I miss the year around riding of the Left Coast ... winter offers too much idle time to build my wishlist for springtime!

Thanx for the shoutout. These Cobras make this bike sound as awesome as any Hardly Ableson out there. And, yes, I do have to let those yellow cabbie demons know where I'm at at all times.

Welcome fxstein.

I see you're into Warriors and the new Liners but I hope you'll find something of use here.

So where are you that's it's so 'cold' there?

Welcome to the Clinc digger

Congrats on the Roadie. Here's the how to opn posting a sig pic. http://roadstarclinic.com/component/option,com_simpleboard/Itemid,91/func,view/id,1533/catid,4/

There is a tranny recall on all 1600's so if you're absolutely sure it's been done you should go to a dealer and give them your VIN. They can check to see if it's ben done.
