Worm what block ya been around bro. Was it 1% or just good ole boys clubs. Which in my opinion is good.Seems to me as the means of income was and still is drugs and Prostitution in omc. Heck The preacher that performed our wedding used to be pres of omc here in the lovely midwest. His wife was a prostitute. Not anymore they also made wise changes in their life. But as far as the 3 patch thing goes yeah if ya want to start a new club ya got to get big brothers permission. Mostly if ya are going to be doing activities that might infringe on the income. I can still sport my old Gypsy Rider vest and they won,t say nothin. Heck The 2 main clubs here came out of the Gypsy riders. Now I don,t know about NY. We usually only went trough there to NH. They don,t shoot each other up openly like in the past. As Road Hawg said most 1% clubs and the majority of the others do not want to cause a lot of attention. Thats why they have sister clubs Like Black Pistons and such. But to be honest with ya none of us would be riding in a true 1% club anyway because ya gotta be sportin american iron over 1000 cc.

I guess I'm just asking: Since when does "protocol" require the threat of a handgun? I don't buy it.

It doesn't. Where did you read that? If you are talking about isolated incidents that kinda stuff happens with the druggies and drunk rednecks more than it does in the MC life. This crap about 1%ers pulling pieces on some poor weekend wannabe for having an RC patch on his back is all bullshit. It is the same crap as all the rest. It doesn't happen. If their ever was gun play it would be between rival 1% clubs and nothing for the rest of us to worry about. You can buy that.

It's a big deal that a number of them can beat a lesser number of them. Wow I respect that! People who served in the military (And paid attention) know true leadership traits, None displayed in a gang. A riders club is ok, not for me....... Plenty out there doing a lot of good and saving the bike image from what it was to decline to had they not been founded. I'm in Lone Wolf arena but I don't even have that patch. And that reminds me, Marines, what's a Patch?

Anyone seen that special on the MC gang in Canada? (History channel I think) Where did they all end up?

You are wrong in that colors = gang. Have you not read that there are many MC's who are not a criminal element. In fact, the majority are not.

Lot of quotes going on here.
As a former officer in this nations largest and most successful and only remaining drug Demand Reduction Youth Group, I had extensive training in What Gangs are from CIA, FBI, And many High Ranking LEO's From around the country. You'd have to look into the true definition of a gang, It's not what your thinking obviously. I posted a link. The little Rascals were a gang, I didn't see any drugs or murders.

I know what the true definition of gang is as defined by the dept of Homeland security and it ain't the one to the link you posted. Y'all are making me tired. Just seek out an MC and take a ride with them. There are all kinds. If you like to party, find one that parties. If you like to kick back like more of a family club, find a good military MC. Learn what it is about before running it down. You will find that the MC world is as diverse as every other walk of life. There is a good, and there is bad. But the bad is not the common place as most believe. That is a stereotype that won't die. You guys are ruthless man. Get-r done or shut up. That's it, I don't know why I respond to these posts. I guess I just can't stand to read the uninformed. Y'all have worn me out, and I am going in circles with this now. If you are one to believe we are all criminals, so be it, have fun with that, but I hope that I have shown that in reality, it is not that way.

If he would've walked into a club house in Texas and showed his piece, it would have meant nothing as every citizen in Texas can carry a piece legally!

It would have been interesting if a couple of veteran Recon combat engineers or combat experienced veteran Navy Seal Team members had been there for club security I wonder if he would've left with the weapon

Tusler, actually all citizens cannot carry legally in Texas. A CHL is required to carry on your person. We can carry a concealed handgun in a vehicle without a CHL, but it must be concealed in the vehicle and not on our person. With that said, there are many in Texas that do have a CHL and all the Texas cops I have talked to support it. They say the crime rates drop dramatically. When everyone is armed, peace is in abundance. Virtually all crimes committed where a handgun was used, it is by someone who is not legal to carry. CHL holders are very responsible and law abiding folks, including MC members.
