Victory is a Polaris company. They are pretty well known for reliability all around. When Canadians decide to do it right they build tight stuff.

One of my best friends rides an 8-ball. He goes everywhere. has had no trouble at all. I personally don't care for the design...but they are good bikes. Hey Shoshin....I feel same...if you can't kill it with an '06....you probbally should'nt be shootin at it!!!!

Personally , I like Victory's line. 8 ball was just too small for me. Yes , In the beginning , they had some issues (who doesn't) , but they seem to be running smooth now. The cylinders have overhead cams....more room is needed when sticking that stuff up top. BB

that Indian is indeed a beautiful bike.

I talked with a guy who bought a hot looking Indian (see link) and he's had nothing but trouble with it. It's really kinda sad because it is a mouth-wateringly beautiful ride.

Yeah... I feel the same way: I can't get past the tall square jugs and the shaft drive.

My dealership is a Honda, Polaris, and Kawasaki dealership, in addition to being a Star dealer. I looked at the Victories, looked at the Honda Shadows, the Kawis... I looked over at the Roadie sitting there, and it was love at first sight. The lines just spoke to me. And then riding it... I knew I'd found my bike.

Shaft drive? Really?

Nah...some confusion there because Victory are belt.

But I feel the same way. I actually rode an 8-ball and a King Pin demo. Nice bikes. Fast! Handle great! But....after an hour on one of these babies I'd be hurtin'!

When I hit the Lotto I'll have a Hammer to blast around town on. Until then, since I only have one bike, it'll be the R*

If I were to buy another bike, I'd probably go with Big Dog. I like their bikes.

Shoshin But then again, I'm the kind of guy who shoots a 30-06 and says good enough vs. shooting a 300 Weatherby. There's something to be said about finding ammo anywhere!
12 years ago i bought the 300 weatherby magnum, and 25 boxes of ammo, when you could get it, kept in a dry invironment, still shoots fine, 5 shot groups at 100 yds cover up with a quarter, the victory on the other hand felt top heavy to me, but will run out good
