Having lived in Northern California I was surprised that there would be fires in that area that bad.
I just kept thinking "Napa? Really?"

Hope it gets under control ASAP with no more loss of life.

Pretty bad out here in the valley also this morning. Let's all pray these fires don't join up. That would really suck.
I don't understand why they haven't called in the National Guard or something to help.

Got to disagree brother he jumped right in and declared disaster areas and we have had all the help we could get but the fires have been too much.
Our local US Representative Mike Thompson has been fantastic, been everywhere!

Federal help has been slow on the trigger due to a certain person in DC not liking us. We are getting some now though.
Local help has been amazing. hell Piedmont which is a tiny little town sent 2 cops here and their whole force cant be much more than that. I've seen fire trucks and cops from all over northern California. Its very heartening. Even more amazing is the amount of money being sent to help. The 4 Bay Area pro teams sent $450,000!!

Probably the best part is I have not heard one single word that is negative, none. I have one friend that the fire went around his property and took his neighbors. He is very thankful but he is out of his place for a few weeks. His biggest concern? he ran out of vodka! LOL
