roadstar oem manual states 5.8 foot pounds so 71 inchpounds is correct. Directions that come with barnett clutch spring state to use yamaha specs

It's not much. I liked to have screwed up going by feel and almost went too tight. I decided to use a torque wrench so I backed them out and I discovered I was way over. 8 foot pounds sounds about right.

The guys on the Warrior forum said to torque the bolts to 5.8 ft.lbs. or 71 in.lbs. as the manual states. Some have gone over the torque spec with the stock bolts and broke the bolts off. My bolts that came with the Barnett Clutch Plate say 10.9 on top of the bolts, but i think you still could strip out the bolt holes because they are aluminum.
