from Phoenix, Az.

I have a R* Silverado and found my hands would get blasted in the breeze on cold mornings so I bought a Tsukayu batwing fairing with GPS/AM-FM radio, 6x9 speakers with 12v charging outlet. I mostly use my iPhone with XM (20 bucks a year!!), Pandora or my IPod playing through my bluetooth headset under a fullface helmet. I'm sure its legal

You'll appreciate the extra wind protection for your hands a fairing offers compared to a windshield. Shop around and you'll find what you like and what you can afford and the install depends on how handy you are. Some brands mount better than others. I had to do some cutting on the mounting brackets to allow install of my lower wind deflectors and reposition my headlight to fit the fairing better.

Here area few companies: Dragonfly, Tsukayu, Kuryakyn, Premeux (a Canadian company, eh), Memphis Shades...it all depends on how much you want to spend and/or your time to spend on the install.

Regardless what you get, it is well worth it.

Mine is a reckless. For the money I think it is great. I would go with the 6x9 cutouts. It came out after I bought mine, which takes 5" speakers and there isn't a big choice in that size.

So from what I'm hearing, I should denifitely get a fairing instead of just handlebar mounted speakers. I have been very impressed with the Tsukayu fairings and considered getitng the plain fairing and the sound of chrome speakers but for the combined price, I may as well just get the fullout stereo and fairing.

Has anyone had problems with the Tsukayu farining? I'm not the most mechanically inclined person but I think with you all's help I can get it done. I'm not overly impressed with the fact that I have to buy Memphis Shades mounts for my application but I guess its the easiest. Thanks everyone, you people rock!
