Myradar works pretty good
I also have the radar from my local tv station installed.
In the summer time out here, anytime you stop, you should be
checking the weather before you leave the house
and when you get back on the
bike. Prairie thunder storms can be very scary and they blow up FAST.

If you're an events freak and want to know all the goings on out there download, and join,

WHERE2RIDE in the Apps Store. There's stuff going on all the time listed in there, far and near, that I never would have known about, otherwise.

I have used the digihud that Redneck mentioned for a speedo app but as he also mentioned it uses a ton of battery so I just got good at knowing my bikes sound in certain gears and know I am close to the speed limit. I have weatherbug and weather underground on my phone for weather reports, and I use FuelLog to track my mileage and fill ups. I can check my mileage in 15 seconds or so like JD can but I like that when I open the app, all of my stops are in there. I can see how my mileage is changing over a period of time or staying consistent. It works well. I also just use google maps for my gps if needed. I like it because any place you search for will let you route yourself there plus it lists the phone number, hours of operation, google review ratings and how many stars it was given. I find myself using google maps just to locate the phone number of someplace I want to call instead of a phone book.

Thanks for all the replies and suggestions. I know I could download test and delete them on my own (or more likely with the help of my teenager ) but I figured I could draw from you'alls trusted experience and save a little time and frustration.

BlkShrtz87, Werewolf, or anyone else that happens to be wandering through Kingman (possibly heading to Bobz Bikz?), let me know when you are coming, especially if on a weekend. I'll buy you a big ole greasy fresh ground burger and homemade tater chips or even a jalapeno popcorn chicken just up the street from Bobz at Smitty's! Purty good ole fashioned food for the discerning taste-buds.

Sounds like we have more than enough around here to meet up for a lunch somewhere some weekend. Moondog66 and pbirk are both in the general area. Might have to wait for pbirk to fix his steering column or I suppose we would let him peddle in on a 10 speed,

I got my first smart phone Monday. I'd be happy to be able to make and receive a call. My job requires a lot of texting these days or I wouldn't have upgraded. So far I have a very strong dislike for it.
