The added insurance is a little bit of peace of mind in the fact that they will get your bike home, but you have to read the fine print. It's free within 50 miles of your home. Still a nice benefit and you get a small monthly publication from them as well. I get other discounts from vendors for being a member and I also get a discount on my bike insurance from Progressive for being a member. But the AAA does nothing to protect our rights as motorcyclist. One Florida town tried to ban motorcycle from the down town area and the AMA took the challenge to court. Also when a motorcyclist was shot in cold blood by a nut job in Indiana they assisted him. The NRA caught wind of the shooting and came running in to help the shooter, as soon as they got the facts from the AMA they left town. Also get road side assistance, I hope to never need.
