As a side note, of you attach the bell to your floorboard bracket it makes a great early warning device for when you are about to scrape your floorboard.

I always thought we were SUPPOSED to scrape our floor boards

Grimlin Bell 9 Years, 1 Month ago
Are you talking about the "Grimlin Bells" that hang under your Bike? For those that do not know about Grimlin Bells.... Grimlin bells are small bells that ;you hang under your Motorcycle. The keep away teh Road Grimlins. Everyone knows Grimlins Love to ride motorcycles.... you know you have one aboard when you run out of gas... have a flat... leave your Wallet at home... scratch your bike.... let it fall.... anything that would make you say Ah Shit? on a road trip..... anyway... Grimlins cannot live in the presence of a bell....... they are very small and like to climb into the bell. When they get inside they cannot hold on and they fall to the pavement.... that is what causes pot holes in the highway.... Grimlin bells work better if you are given one, although they work fine if you buy it yourself. I have one hanging under my Roadstar... will take a Picture for anyone that don't know what it looks like.

Here is a good deal part of the lore is taking time to clean the brass as a tribute to fallen rides. Your care in shinning while cleaning. Also to remember the person who cared enough to give you the bell.

Gidday Chaplain Charlie....I have just ordered some bells mate and have pledged some to R* clinicians. I'd be happy to include you in on a Rider's Bell...gifted from Oz.

If you are interested ...please PM me your details and mailing address and I'll send you one when they arrive.

p.s. this might be a duplicate reply as I submitted a reply earlier but it didn't seem to go through

Looks like you might be right, sorry didn't notice the fine print. Sounds like you got 3 times as many as I did for about the same price.

I carry a bell in my saddlebag.
When I go on a long (overnight stay or longer)ride with a group of riders. I will take the bell from my bag and attach it to the throttle of someone that I feel needs or deserves a bell. I tie the bell when no one is paying attention. I will do this unanimously.
I feel the bell is more potent when given this way.

I have given away 4 bells at this time. I plan to keep this tradition going.
