Purchsed new tires and brake pads... thought I wold get just one more Sunday on my rear tire... it had just a bit of tread today... got home from a 280 mile mountain road trip...now that rear tire has fabrick showing..... think I just might have overdone it.....

Don't take long to scrub rubber off a rear tire when it is worn down. Hope lesson is learned.

When they get that worn down they go really fast. Seems like the deeper you get in to the tire the softer the compound gets. What are you going to replace it with? The Marathon 880's are good and ride smooth. I have used 880's in the past and was very happy with them. Just got a new one and it's good and smooth.
