Fuel Gauge 6 Years, 3 Months ago
It's broke..... started a few weeks ago. Everytie I refuled the guage would to to "E" and the light would blink. Even After I refuled it would not work properly until I reached around 20 or 30 miles. Then it would be fine until I refuled again and it all began again. Today I refuled and it will not come back at all. When I turn it on it goes from E to F and back down as usual but will not come off the "E". I removed the tank, cleaned the contacts as best as I could and made sure everything was conected properly and there were no pinched wires. It still does not work. I noticed a discussion some time back but do not remember any positive outcome. Anyone got any suggestions?

The fuel sending unit# is 5VN-85752-01 if you happen to need it. I've put one on mine in 55,000 miles.

Do a search for fuel gage on the clinc and it should pop up.

Noticed it was something like $66.00. Don't mind that at all if it will do the job..... Is the float inside the tank servicable?
