Not sure if you guys have seen this but you can read about it here http://www.motorcycle.com/manufacturer/yamaha/2012-yamaha-and-star-motorcycles-model-preview-91128.html

A couple of highlights, at least for me were, the Roadstar is back for 2012, contrary to rumours of its possible demise.
The Roadliner/Stratoliner have lost the art-deco tank emblems and front fender stay.
You can buy a factory customized Raider, but you get no say in how it's customized.

When the Strat Delux came out I thought that was the ultimate Motorcycle.... later I found out it only had a 5 speed tranny, a 4.5 gal tank, no cruise, no radio, no crash bars front nor back.... it really let me down... great power, great looks, fantastic handling... just gonna have to spend a couple of grand after you buy it just to make it what you want, not to mention more chrome.... just my thoughts.

I like the Raider SCL. The custom seat, the paint, and the wheels. Sure, it's not YOUR design, so it's not truly custom. But with only 500 made, take out 100 for the wannabe's that park them, another 100 for the ones that are totalled, and 50 more for the people that buy it just as a good starting platform to customize even more, and you only have 5 per state, so you will have a truly unique bike.

I like what they have done to the Road/Stratoliner, and I am really glad to see the return of the Roadstar.

And, don't forget... Drag bars on the V Star 250

I guess the Canadian version of the Stratoliner deluxe doesn't come with the GPS system?? I sure can't see it on the Star Canada website anyways, that sure sucks....

What exactly does "factory custom" mean?

I'm glad the got rid on those ugle three bars on the tank and the fender stays on the Strat. But why not cruise control? The Royal Star S
deluxe is offically gone. I stopped by my local Yammy dealer and they are selling the hell out of the Victory line! I think they are nice and all but the $$$ is just too high.

Call me crazy, but I want to get a Triumph Rocket III Tour. You can pick up a used one under $10K and you never have to do anything to it because it comes with all the power you could use. Sometimes when I'm cruising on the open highways at 80 my Roady feels like it's straining although I know it's not.
