Choke/ enriched question 1 Year, 5 Months ago
|
|
When I pull the choke out my bike will start right up but as soon as I release the knob it snaps closed and will stall. I can actually hold the choke knob partially on and all is good but I can't ride like this. Is there any adjustment to prevent it from closing on its own?

Yes. The enricher knob touches or almost touches a rubber ring, when it slips in. That rubber ring,is a cover over a tension nut. Pinch both sides of the rubber cover with your thumb and forefinger, and turn it to the right. Adjust it, until the knob stays out when you let go of it.
This is not, the black plastic nut on the back side of the bracket, that holds the enricher in the bracket.

It's tid bits like this that make the site as useful as it is. While this is a simple thing, it can make the difference between loving your bike or tolerating it.
Go love your bike now. )

Thanks for the info. Will try this when I get back home tomorrow. Certainly will make live easier once this is corrected.

In order to turn the tensioner nut I think you have to loosen the nut on the backside of the bracket first.

The one on the backside of the bracket only tightens the cable to the bracket. You can simply tighten the tensioner nut from the front.
