Custom Painting my R* 7 Years, 6 Months ago
I have a nice 1999 Silverado that I bought last year and have fell in love with the ride and all. For an 11 year old bike, it runs, looks, and feels GREAT ! Many think it's new (as I've de-emblemed it too).

Now, I want to make it more custom to my personality. What I would like to do is get a new paint job done. Tank and fenders. Regrettably, I have no experience as to where and how.

I'm comfortable in removing them. Are there any recommendations on where to get it done. Are there "mail order" places or should I find a local professional. I'm not looking to get an airbrushed masterpiece, but more like a new color.

Ideas?

Thanks,
Jim

There is a guy on the clinic that chimes in from time to time, can't remember the user name. He does a swap for already custom painted tins in exchange for yours plus some money. Hopefully he will jump on.

from what ive looked into, its better to find a local guy to do it. one, because by the time you pay for shipping and insurance , that could add extra cost. second if u have any problems or find blemishes its a pain in the a$$ to have to package everything up and ship it back. it is so nice to have someone close that u can just put them in the car and trott down to their shop. dont ask how i know
