BULBS in dashboard 9 Years, 7 Months ago
What size bulbs are in the dashboard, and how many? Does anyone have a schematic on how to replace these? My dashboard isn't as lit up as it used to be, I think a bulb or two, burned out. I've had the chrome dash panel off, but never looked into the back of the dash. Any help?

Here's a link you can check out that will give you part numbers and drawings. I've selected the 07' Roadie but you may need to pick your own bike for the proper information. Good Luck (You may need to highlight the link and copy it to your address bar)

There are 4 bulbs that light up the meters Yamaha part # is 5JA-83517-00-00. There are 3 bulbs for the neutral, beam, & turn indicators part# is 4WM-83517-10-00. I haven't had occation to replace any yet so I don't know what they are as far as going to the local car parts place.

Midnight & Cliff:
Thanks guys. The schematic is perfect. I'll take the dash off, and I'll pull one of the dash bulbs and see if there is a cross reference to a normal bulb you can buy somewhere other than the dealer. The "indicator" lamps, hi--beam, neutral are OK. It's just a dim dashboard at night. Damn, this board and the folks on it, are great. Thanks. Cliff, I got the doolies on, and they are awesome, one of the best add on's, so far.

Pistol you can buy the bulbs in a pack at Radio Shack. Let me go back and see if I can find the info on the part number.

Danny, You're da Man. Thanks, I'll pick some up on the way home. Heck, the dealer wanted $4.75 EACH.

pistol I have not taken the time but I want to go to a hobby store and find some bulbs that are colored that will work. If I find some and a manufacture I will post it here. I want red bulbs to go with my red paint job.
