Color Code... 6 Years, 8 Months ago
Where can I get the color code for 2001 R*s. I would like to get my helmet painted to match my bike. Mine is the gold color with what looks like metal flake enbedded.

Yamaha factory paint is darn pricey, especially if your only going to paint something as small as a helmet. try going to a reputable automotive paint shop and see if they can't match it off of your front fender or something. probably save you some serious Coin.

Thanks guys. I have a friend who has an auto paint and body shop and I was going to get him to paint my helmet. He can probably take the Yama paint number and match it that way or I will take a side cover and let him match as close as possible. Thanks again.

Be careful, some paints will destroy the integrity of the helmet. If you are going t wear a helmet, it should be one that will work.

Hey Coyote, would you please explain? I'm sure there are paints that will harm plastic but a reputable paint shop should know that. I hope he does anyway.CoyoteManNo1 wrote:
