Clutch cable ? 4 Years ago
Let me preface my question by saying this, I have never changed a clutch cable on anything, so take it easy on me for asking.
I bought a new heavy duty clutch cable from a memeber here a year or so ago and I have not tried to put it on. I have taken the old cable loose at both ends doing the clutch upgrade so I know how to do that. My question is when I put the new cable on do I use the existing sleeve off the old cable? If so, how does the middle adjustment part of it work with the new cable? For the center adjuster to work, it seems to me the cable should be in two pieces or am I way off base here. Stupid question, I know.

PS.
Is there a writeup in the tech forum for doing this? I have not found it nor does the cylmer's book have ant info.

One piece cable goes straight thru the center adjuster..That adjuster basicly just lengthens or shortens the sheath...........
