so I can make a semi- intelligent chioce on one. I see that there are a few different ways to go, and I would like to hear the good, bad & ugly from the guys that have them. Here's what I found doing a quick search

Progressive 465 at around $560

Ohlins 46 DLRS at around $900

Tricky air $805

Air FX $953

I'm not really sure if I want to go with the air ride, And the Ohlins price is quite a bit more than the progressive are they worth it

well, I love my air ride. but have no experience with a progresive. Honestly you should be happy with either choice

I can say both my wife and I are very happy with the airride it soaks up so much of the bumps you barely tell you hit them but it does take some time to figure out how much air works for you when you first get it then you know just when to turn it on and off. Me solo let the bike get to full ride height and let the pump go 5 more seconds, 2 up I let it go 10 seconds and its spot on.

Is a progressive spring on the stock shock in the mix? I did that and I see a huge difference in the ride I did front and rear

Tried all of them and ended up with the Tricky Air for the last two years.

Good to hear, I've been following your thread. The only thing that has me concerned about the air ride is that it's another thing to go wrong, and usually at the wrong time & place. I like to simplify when I can.

Anybody use the Ohlins shock/spring setup They make good stuff, But I find the price hard to justify

Hey btbeam, what spring did you buy and did it lower your rear by 1"? This is the route I am looking to go, just change the spring not the entire shock.

lets not forget:
the eibach 1000lb spring on the stock shock with the progressive front springs.
much better ride then stock with a cost of about 175 and about 2 hours of your time
