Fuel pump wanted. 1 Year, 5 Months ago
If any of you that has gone pimples has an old unused fuel pump laying around I would gladly take it off your hands. I would like to have one as a spare. Before anyone suggest I go pumpless, I have tried and didn't like it. I had problems getting enough fuel to the carb without starving it. I'm sure I did not have it setup correctly so I just went back to the pump. So if anyone has a pump PM me and we'll work something out.
I could also use a new cover (mine is cracked) but I don't want to push my luck.

I have a pump. It's been off the bike for a couple of years now. It's yours for the cost of shipping.

When I went pump less I had the same problem a little re-routing of the fuel lines and all is well. I had my filter standing straight up and it would starve it for fuel running wide open about 90. Angled the filter and boom...we're movin

Being a big pumpless fan I thought I was going to have to eat my words the other day. I had my tank off to run some wires and when I put it back on the freakin bike wouldn't start. Actually it would hit and die immediately. After a couple "what the F's" and opening the drain to make sure the carb was getting gas I looked over at my bench and saw the idle screw that I had modified sitting there. They idle better with those installed!

If you've any need for it still, I've got a couple of pump covers.
