I used to storm chase, back when videos of tornadoes were a rarity. Giant vhs and Beta cams. Got one good video and one good picture of an f3 up close and personal. it is a rush for sure.

Don't want to be in the same county as a tornado!! I was with some of the first people to reach this place after a tornado. 2 people survived riding it out in the basement of the house which was never found. I heard about that on the radio coming back from the Temple VA. They said it touched down outside the National Weather Service and they were the first to report it. Said it was very small although still not something to ride into. Glad you got away.

I have had to make some drastic course changes while fishing the Gulf of Mexico because of water spouts. Don't want nothing to do with them either. We have been lucky all the years I have lived here, they go around us and hope the continue to do so.

FORT WORTH -- The National Weather Service has confirmed that at least an EF-0 tornado hit Fort Worth with 85-90 mph winds Thursday just after 4 p.m.
The tornado started on the west side of I-35, just south of 28th street, and ended just north of Loop 820, east of Thanks all. Im just glad Im around to make post 100. Taken almost 12 years. Lol
The path was about 4.9 miles long and the NWS says the width didn't exceed 100 yards in most areas. The service is still investigating and says the rating of the tornado could possibly change.
The NWS confirms the worst damage was done to a Compass Bank building at I-35W and Meacham.
Incredible video uploaded to YouTube shows the roof ripping off the building. It landed in the parking lot, clobbering cars. Strong winds blew out car windows and mangled metal wrapped around cars.
Jake Sigler took the video before he realized his car was part of the mess. He says the suspected twister came on just as fast as it left.

Wow another Ft Worth person. I work right up the road from there where the tornado touched down. The only kept me from being at work that day on my bike was a broken shifter. Glad you made it ok
