A quick run thru the parking lot outside the building here: Michelin, Yokohama, Goodyear, bridgestone, Kelly, and Discount Tire "store brand" tires, ALL made in USA. Just sayin. They can't put that on them for just stacking them on a pallet bud. Go to the Rubber Manufacturers Association web site and if you cannavigate Iit you will find a list of production facilities for US DOT certified tires, both here, and abroad. No knock on Cooper tires at all, I've had a set or two, but they are FAR from being the only tire manufacturer in the US. Your friend is biased, ignorant, or both.

No offense to your brother Bigdaddy but a 2 minute google search says different

Now in stead of arguing about tires let's decide which oil to use in our bikes. We haven't done that one for a while

Ok, take it up with the Federal Trade Commission then. You can be the big whistle blower and be famous! You and the tire salesman from PA! Lol
Gotta be billions of dollars worth of " Made in USA" tires out there that have other brands on them from different plants with DOT approved Quality Assurance programs that get audited at least once a year.
Enjoy your day.

Im not taking side in this debate but Goodyear has a plant in Gadsden, Alabama. This is from the local paper dated May 14, 2014...

"Goodyear Tire and Rubber Co.'s Gadsden plant was honored as large manufacturer of the year", in Alabama.

I may be wrong but I don't think it is a warehouse.

We've got a large Goodyear plant here in Fayetteville, NC - and I have friends who work there manufacturing....tires!

And I'm pretty sure they still make M/C tires as well.

Just saying
