Will Barons lowering kit work with Roadwing? 2 Years, 2 Months ago
Got a chance to swap even up my stock relay arm for Barons lowering dog one.....but I have a Roadwing shock. Will this work? I have V&H longshots....will the bike sit funny enough that the pipes will be at an angle instead of parallel with the ground when riding

Thanks

Also....anyone have a stock relay arm they want to get rid of cheap? My buddy who is building a bike wants to go to stock height

I have a roadwing with the adjustable dogbones. No issues at all with combination of the two, in fact I think it's the best way to go vs the flip&grind.
Used to have the V&H longshots but went with Bassani duals. I had a home -fabbed exhaust bracket so I could adjust the angle of the longshots due to the passenger floorboards. I think it ended up in the trash bin. You may be able to drill some new holes in the bracket to set angle of your pipes once you get the suspension where you want it.

Doesn't just lower the rear end about 1.5 inches? Tucks wheel up under fender a little bit?

Used adjustable dog bones to drop mine about 1 1/2" when I installed the Roadwing. Rides & handles great! I kind of like having a little rake on it!

Yes, I have a manual RAP located where the rear horn used to be on the L. side, right behind the kickstand. The pipes are Samson Warlord Slashers & they have never scraped. There are plenty of pics on my Photobucket site. Just click the link below my sigpic. Here's a side pic.
