Grip Glue 5 Years, 6 Months ago
I know it's been covered but I can't get my iso grips to stay put
According to what I've read here, I've tried Super Glue, Spray 77, and Rubber Cement
The lft grip is thr problem, the throttle grip is glued to the throttle tube
Nothing keeps it on. It rotates and pulls outward
I've tried cleaning the grips and bars with alcohol and hand used emery cloth on the bar end

What's next short of lighting it on fire?

Have you tried Kury's glue that came with the iso's? I put that stuff on with my left grip and it locked into place in about 3 min and hasn't moved since. They probably sell it as a stand alone item.

The grip glue I got with my Kury grips was already set, I just used some urethane stuff I had in a caulk tube, it may never come off

Wouldn't hurt to try it. I had the same problem with my last bike. The left grip would stick good at first but after a month or so it would get loose again. I just kept regluing it when it got loose.

Had the same issue with my left iso grip. I used Gorilla Glue and it hasn't moved in 2 years. I just hope I can get it off when I need to.

3M weatherstrip adhesive part # 8001. You can get it at most autoparts.

the 3m works good but you can also try renthal's grip glue which drys really fast . never had any grip move with this stuff ever .it only gives you like 30 seconds to work with though . should be available at any bike shop . i use this on customers iso grips regularly , they never come back with a complaint

also need to make sure you scuff and clean your bars before gluing or it doesn't matter what glue you use
