This past week I installed Gino's lowering brackets for my bags, changed the oil and transfer case gear oil, ordered a headlight visor to match the visors on the light bar that I bought from Docshadow, received (not installed yet) said light bar, and rode a couple hundred miles over the week. A pretty good week all-in-all! Pictures to follow.

Replaced torn intake manifold. So that i might ride a week or two before paint. And i unburied it from the darkest coner of the garage. Go figure, now thunderstorms for most of the next two weeks

Got to ride to work finally for the first time this year, 40 miles in. A little chilly for the first 20 mins riding in the shade at 48 degrees. After that either the Sunny roads helped or I was already numb at that point. Ride home tonight should be 78 or so.

Rode it.... stopped... rode some more.

Spent the morning removing the rear suspension in preparation to install my new roadwing. Chased the Post around the town attempting to retrieve my roadwing, about 2 hours later I had my roadwing on the bench and the soppy OEM shock with the 930 lb spring off the dog-bone and links with the new unit installed.

Biggest issue was finding a means to mount the RAP off the horn bracket and relocate the horn to the front of the frame under the rectifer. By late afternoon everything had been located and temporarilly mounted for a scoot around the block to see how the bike handles. My immediate observation is that the bike doesn't wallow any more, which it still did with a 930 lb Eibach spring and the preload set to maximum. I haven't had a chance to go for a rip with the wife on behind but judging by what I found on my initial run the Roadie will be very sure footed and will be able to handle the rough roads when fully loaded and two up.

Today I rode my bike to work, then I took the two hour long way home. When I got there I installed a new headlamp bulb and went for a ride. Came back home and ate dinner, and then I went out for a cruise.

I'm so happy I could sing show tunes. I mean, I won't. But I totally could.

Finished putting the rear fender together, gave it it's first bath of the season, then took a 60 mile ride with Gorilla and DChopper73 to try out the new headlight.

I got to try out my newly installed light bar that I filled with the phase 7 lighting to match the headlight. I am pleased overall with the performance and color of these lights. They really make a big difference in night riding.
