Glad to know what you think of me

Jeff, I just noticed your post and was about to say "that's not fair" - but after re-reading my original comment, the way I worded it, I can see why you might say that.

My sincere apologies - and I am going to edit my post to make myself clear.

What I should have said is "some of the beliefs of the ultra-conservative right" - rather than paint everyone with the same brush - especially since I share some of those ultra-conservative values.

I have friends who occupy both ends of the political spectrum - and I don't always agree with them - but I don't think they're bad people, or that THEY are dangerous - even if I believe that some of their particular beliefs could be dangerous in the wrong hands.

Not sure if there was any mention of his victory speech in all these pages of name calling. It's worth noting that it was very inclusive and seemed to be genuinely uniting. That was a pleasant surprise. Reagan was a great uniter (assuming I have my history correct. Wasn't politically active/aware as a child ). Bush 43, meh. Obama has this country more divided than its ever been in my lifetime for sure. Hillary would've just made it worse.

I, for one, am very happy that I won't have to see her face or hear her voice (hopefully) any longer. I would love to see some of the worst Obama era policies rolled back (particularly the Affordable Care Act). That single thing has screwed me financially worse than anything any politician has ever done. Like I said previously though...I don't want to project my hopes onto Mr. Trump. Time will tell what he does or doesn't do.

Here's hoping we can have many civil conversations here in the coming months and years.

I have a certain amount of optimism, but a whole big bunch of pessimism to go with it.

Loved the fact that Putin referenced the "reset" in his communication overnight. Big fat ass stick in the eye of Clinton and her wishy washy hippie socialist elitist talk down to everyone bullshit. I hope she sits down to take a shit this morning and falls through her own asshole to her death. An evil, twisted hag.
I could not have quoted that better JD...

You have no reason to respond here, you're not a citizen!

Seriously?

Your country is Canada's largest trading partner and what happens in your country significantly affects Canada's economy, which affects my life and that of my fellow Canadians.

The USA is also the most important country in world history.

So yes, I do have a reason to have an opinion - and, in that glorious American tradition of "freedom of speech" (which I would hope you defend, because if you don't, you are no friend of liberty) share it.

You, of course, have the right to disagree...but unless something's changed, this site didn't require an American citizenship to be a member.

Well said. I am often blown away by such ignorance. Clearly some "Americans" forget their own heritage and where they came from and yes, it does affect everyone, whether you have or have not voted in this election.

Perhaps if more American citizens were more educated, they would make better choices!

Unfortunately (fortunately for the American people), that doesn't even begin to address her crimes- both legal AND moral. I'll leave my comments to that!
