My bike came with a K&N big air kit. I contacted K&N and they tell me....

"Thank you for contacting K&N Engineering. We understand you're looking for more information regarding the installation of the RK-3925-1. The RK-3925-1 installation instructions do specify that you MUST use a carburetor recalibration kit. Upon installing this product, you must re-jet your carburetor."

I did look up the installation instructions on the K&N web site and it does say that a recalibration kit is required at the top of the installation sheet but they don't say what one consists of or how to install it.

I guess my question is.....Replacing pipes requires re-jetting to a certain size jet with a stock air cleaner. If the BAK is installed, do I need to re jet again to an even bigger size jet?
No, because you don,t normally rejet with just exhaust change.

Ok, I opened the carb and besides it being extremely dirty, I found a 210 main jet and the pilot I have no idea because there are no markings on it. I also found a cracked diaphragm cover and a fuel filter that is the color of caramel.

Did the main jet have anything else on it, other then the 210? Maybe a box with an"R" in it? If its just the 210, then its probably a DJ main jet, and way big.

The Pilot will be marked on the side. You'll need a magnifying glass and a good light to see it, more then likely.

Replace the Coasting enricher cover.

A new fuel filter never hurts anything but the pocket book.

Nope, just a 210. I double checked the pilot and there really are no marks anywhere

Pick up what Dave suggested. If it has the multigroove needle, put the clip in the forth with the fat spacer, and a single silver washer under the clip.

So I ordered the 170 main jet and 37.5 pilot like you suggested. I'll let you know how it runs after I swap them in!

You will love the way it will run and perform with your new jetting.

Re:Running UBER rich 3 Months, 3 Weeks ago
So I put the 170 main in and put the PMS to 2.5. The needle clip is also at the 4th position. The order goes (from top to bottom) washer, e-clip (4th slot), spacer, then washer. Is that fine?

Also, The pilot jet I ordered is for a bigger mikuni carb because the jet didn't fit into the pilot jet spot. The jet was too fat for the hole. How do I know what size 37.5 pilot jet to order? You can imagine my crestfallen attitude once I figured that out
