I did wrap the header near my leg to help with the heat a bit. Took a bit of finesse to get the chrome shield on but pleased I made the effort. They will get loud if you crack the throttle which I will do in city traffic here in Indy. Shores ,yours seems longer than the others I've seen. I would like the to be no longer than the rear fender. You will love them!!!!! I popped in quiet baffles due to the noise bylaws in this city. I bet you will not have to.
